Two ISI-certified full-face helmets (rider + pillion) are provided with every scooter at no extra cost. We also include a reflective safety vest for night riding and offer knee/elbow pads for ₹150/day. All helmets are cleaned and sanitised between rentals. We strongly advise wearing all provided gear throughout your ride — it's the law in Uttarakhand and it saves lives.
All our scooters carry valid third-party insurance as mandated by the Motor Vehicles Act. This covers damage or injury to third parties in the event of an accident. For your own protection, we offer an optional Damage Waiver (₹200/day) that reduces your liability for own-vehicle damage to zero. Without the waiver, the renter is liable for repair costs up to the deposit amount.
Scooters are provided with a full tank of petrol on full-day and longer rentals, and should be returned with a full tank. For half-day rentals, scooters are handed over with a half tank and must be returned at the same level. If the tank is returned with less fuel than at handover, we'll deduct the cost at current pump rates. Electric scooters are provided fully charged and should be returned with at least 20% charge remaining.
Every scooter undergoes a thorough multi-point inspection before and after each rental — brakes, tyres, lights, horn, mirrors, and engine are all verified. In the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown during your rental (not caused by rider error), we'll dispatch a replacement scooter or provide a pickup within 2 hours anywhere within 15 km of Almora. Minor roadside repairs like punctures are covered by us free of charge.
Almora's mountain roads require extra caution. Always ride on the left, observe speed limits (30 km/h in town, 50 km/h on highways), carry your licence and RC, and avoid riding after dark on unlit mountain stretches. Please review our full terms & conditions before your ride.
